Saugus

Saugus is an Essex County town with a population of 26,078 and a total area of 11.8 square miles. Originally, Saugus contained Lynn, Lynnfield, Swampscott, Nahant, Wakefield and Reading, but modern day Saugus was incorporated as a town in 1815. Saugus is home to Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site, which was North America's first integrated ironworks. Saugus is divided into villages including: Cliftondale Square, North Saugus, East Saugus, Lynnhurst, Saugus Center, Oaklandvale, and Pleasant Hill. Route 1, with its string of retail centers, passes through Saugus. Lynn District Court serves Saugus as well as the communities of:
